Fluent ≠ Band 7 In IELTS Speaking. Here’s Why.

I’ve worked 1:1 with numerous IELTS students who spoke fluent English but continuously got Band 6 or Band 7 in the IELTS Speaking Test.

After a Mock Speaking Test I usually notice small mistakes that these students make and then work on those with them. Their scores jump from Band 6.5 to Band 7 or Band 7.5 within a few sessions.
